Welcome to JustHide (the “App”). We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected when you use the App. The App is distributed primarily via Google Play and similar channels. Please read carefully before use.
Operator: Independent developer

If mandatory laws in your country or region grant you stronger personal data protection rights, those rights prevail.
1. Information We Collect and Use
The App’s core features hide, restore, and preview files locally on your device. We do not upload the contents of files you choose to hide to any server, and we do not offer account registration or cloud sync.
To provide basic features, the App may process or store the following information locally on your device:
- Storage access: After you grant storage permission, the App accesses the folder paths and files you select in order to hide, restore, append-hide, and preview. Files remain on your device storage.
- Local settings and state: Including hidden folder paths, hide status, feature toggles (such as app disguise, emergency exit, theme), and consent status. This data is stored only on-device (e.g., local key-value storage) to restore your preferences.
- Local cache: Thumbnails and covers may be cached in the App’s private storage to improve browsing. You can clear them in the App.
- Optional logs: The App may generate on-device diagnostic logs for troubleshooting. Logs are not uploaded by default.
- In-app purchase (Pro): If you buy Pro membership, payment is processed by Google Play. The App may store on your device whether Pro is active and verify purchase tokens with Google Play. We do not collect your payment card details.
- Crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics): When the App crashes or encounters certain errors, information such as stack traces, App version, device model, OS version, and an installation instance identifier may be sent to Google Firebase to help us improve stability. This does not include the contents of files you choose to hide. Technical data in crash reports may occasionally include device paths; we do not use Crashlytics to upload file contents to our own servers.
We do not collect sensitive personal information unrelated to core features (such as your legal name, government ID, contacts, or precise location), and we do not require an account.
2. Permissions
- Storage / All files access: Required to read and modify files in folders you select for hide and restore. Denying this permission disables those features.
- Internet: Used to open this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Service, or store pages; to complete and verify Google Play in-app purchases and restore purchases; and to send crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics. The App does not use the network for ads or behavioral analytics SDKs.
You can manage these permissions in system settings. After revoking storage access, the App can no longer access the corresponding files.
3. Third-Party SDKs and Services
We do not integrate advertising SDKs or behavioral analytics SDKs. Networked services we use include:
- Google Play Billing: One-time Pro in-app purchase and restore purchases. Payment and order records are handled by Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google): Crash and stability diagnostics. See Firebase privacy information.
Other third-party components are mainly local libraries (e.g., local storage, image loading, media playback, permission helpers) that run on your device. If we add other networked third-party services, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required.
4. Storage and Transmission
- Path indexes, settings, caches related to hiding, and local Pro status are stored on your device.
- We do not transmit your file contents to our servers.
- Crash reports are transmitted to Google Firebase when a crash occurs.
- Purchase verification communicates with Google Play when you buy or restore Pro.
- When you open this Policy or the Terms in the in-app browser, the request is made from your device’s network environment; pages are hosted on GitHub Pages.
5. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We will not share, transfer, or publicly disclose personal information except:
- with your clear consent; or
- when required by applicable law, legal process, arbitration, or a competent authority.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended primarily for adults. If you are a minor, please use the App under a parent or guardian’s guidance. If we learn that a minor’s personal information was collected without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
You may manage related information by:
- revoking storage or network permissions in system settings;
- clearing image cache or removing hide-path settings in the App;
- uninstalling the App to remove data in the App’s private storage (hidden files on device storage are not automatically restored by uninstalling — you must restore them yourself if needed);
- managing Google Play order data in your Google account; for a full guide, see Request Data Deletion.
If applicable law grants you rights such as access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, you may email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. This Policy does not limit mandatory rights under your local law.

8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect local App data. No measure is perfectly secure. File hiding reduces casual discovery; it is not a professional-grade encrypted vault. Please secure your device and back up important files.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page, and we may notify you in-app (for example via a consent dialog). Continued use means you acknowledge the updated Policy; if you disagree, please stop using and uninstall the App.
10. Contact Us
For questions or requests about this Policy or privacy, email support.won@gmail.com. We will reply within a reasonable time.
